Seminar on ancient topography and landscape archaeology
The Ancient Topography and Landscape Archaeology Seminars of the cycle for the academic year 2024-25 offer an important technical and methodological look at the analysis and graphic restitution of ancient structures. In this meeting, curated by Rodolfo Brancato, the topic of architectural survey in archaeology will be addressed, with particular attention to the methodology of stone-by-stone drawing
The seminar, curated by Fabrizio Sommaini (Romeins Museum Heerlen-NL; SITAR), will demonstrate, through case studies and practical applications, the potential of this technique to precisely and systematically document ancient structures, highlighting the value of the survey as a tool for the analysis, conservation and interpretation of the built archaeological heritage.
