In the splendid setting of the Royal Palace in Naples, a seminar will be held as part of the Scientific Collaboration Agreement between the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per l’Area Metropolitana di Napoli and the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.

The event, curated by S. Borea, L. Di Franco and B. Di Palma, is the result of a collaborative process launched in 2023, aimed at integrating and enhancing institutional and academic expertise in the fields of protection, research, teaching and management of the cultural heritage, with a special focus on the territory of the Campania Plain. Speakers will include Superintendent Mariano Nuzzo and Prof. Marella Santangelo, Director of the Department of Architecture, together with lecturers, technicians and officials involved in the ongoing projects.

The meeting represents an important opportunity to present the progress of ongoing activities and to reflect on the prospects for research and heritage enhancement, in synergy with other bodies and institutions active in the area. One example is the parallel agreement with the Department of Humanistic Studies of the University of Frederick II and the Superintendency of Caserta and Benevento, aimed at the census of archaeological evidence, from prehistoric to Roman times, in the Frattaminore (NA) area.
