The series of lectures is part of the Erasmus mobility programme between Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the University of Naples Federico II: the final workshop was an opportunity to reflect on methods and approaches to stratigraphic excavation and topographical documentation for the study of ancient urban contexts.
In addition to fieldwork, the lecturers addressed research issues and excavation strategies used by the Siris Project during the excavation of the ancient Greek colony of Siris-Herakleia, directed by Annarita Doronzio (Humboldt University of Berlin).
The workshop is organised by Rodolfo Brancato (Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II”) and Annarita Doronzio (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).
