Seminar on Ancient Topography and Archaeology of Landscapes

As part of the cycle of Seminars in Ancient Topography and Landscape Archaeology for the academic year 2024-25, an important opportunity for in-depth study of documentation and analysis methodologies applied to archaeology is proposed. In this meeting, curated by Rodolfo Brancato, the theme of archaeological survey through the most up-to-date geomatic techniques will be addressed.

The seminar, curated by Simone Amici (Leica Geosystems S.p.A.), will focus on the use of an approach capable of using and integrating data and analyses at different spatial scales aimed at archaeological research. Through concrete examples, the potential offered by geomatics for the spatial analysis and three-dimensional restitution of archaeological contexts will be illustrated.
